Other Policies and Guidelines

The Office of Compliance offers a number of forms to assist investigators in the Emory research community conducting research using Controlled Substances or Dangerous Drugs. Usage records of Controlled Substance AND Dangerous Drugs must be kept to remain in compliance with state and federal laws.

The Research Compliance and Regulatory Affairs (RCRA) Office, the IACUC, and DAR collaborated to assemble this policy for recording and surveillance of animal research activities. This policy includes an attestation that the Principal Investigator needs to complete and route for approval by the EU DAR Attending Veterinarian and the AVP for RCRA. We acknowledge the support and feedback provided by the Emory Primate Center.

Terminated Exemptions

  • Exemption for Using Single-Dose Non-Bacteriostatic Sterile Injectable Saline or Water - This exemption was terminated by the IACUC during its legally convened meeting on September 6, 2023.
